Who is this food adventurer?

My name is Anna Consie and I’m an avid eater, mediocre gardener and novice canner. I’m also a graduate student at the Walter Cronkite School of Journalism and Mass Communication at Arizona State University.

I have a B.A. in anthropology from ASU, where I specialized in social anthropology and wrote my thesis on the role of food in cultural exchange between France and the United States. Following graduation, I spent eight months teaching English in Orléans, France, where I improved my French language skills and studied France’s changing food landscape.

Now, in my last semester of graduate school, I find myself chasing my food dream across Arizona. Where it will lead next is anyone’s guess.
